1. Our commitment
AfricaDecides, a product of Executive captionz Limited, is committed to fair and transparent voting. We invest in technology, process controls and human review to detect and prevent vote manipulation, identity fraud and payment abuse on the Platform.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Platform:
- purchasing votes using stolen payment details or accounts;
- using bots, scripts, automation or click farms to cast votes;
- registering multiple accounts to vote repeatedly;
- impersonating eligible voters in an election or ballot;
- offering or accepting bribes to influence votes or results;
- exploiting technical vulnerabilities to alter vote counts or results;
- colluding with organisers, officers or contestants to manipulate outcomes.
3. Detection measures
We use a combination of automated and manual systems to detect fraud, including:
- device fingerprinting and IP analysis;
- payment verification and transaction pattern monitoring;
- phone number and email verification for voters;
- rate limiting and vote velocity checks;
- audit logs for every vote, ballot, login and payout action;
- random sampling and manual review of suspicious activity.
4. Enforcement
If fraud is confirmed, we may take any or all of the following actions: remove fraudulent votes, suspend or ban accounts, disqualify contestants or candidates, withhold payouts, cancel competitions or elections, report criminal activity to authorities, and pursue legal action.
5. Election-specific safeguards
In Election Mode, each voter is verified before receiving a ballot, ballots are encrypted and anonymised, and election officers can review audit logs without accessing individual choices. Officers are required to declare conflicts of interest and cannot modify results after polls close.
6. Reporting fraud
If you suspect fraud, please report it immediately to hello@africadecides.test or WhatsApp +256 789 352 078. Include as much detail as possible: project name, date, screenshots, phone numbers and a description of what you observed. Reports may be made anonymously for election concerns.
7. Appeals
Organisers, contestants and users affected by an enforcement action may appeal by writing to hello@africadecides.test within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed by a team not involved in the original decision. We aim to respond within 7 business days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Anti-Fraud Policy as threats and technology evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
9. Contact us
For fraud-related questions or reports, contact hello@africadecides.test or write to Nkurumah road, Light building, Suite K07, Kampala, Uganda.
